With the season getting started a week early, you best believe I’m not going to leave my passengers depraved. If there’s college football to be consumed, we’re betting it dammit.

AND FOR MY FIRST ACT OF 2019 CFB ACTION….

I’M BETTING….. A total?

I assure you, you haven’t stumbled upon the wrong inter-web locale. This is A-Rob. And make no mistake, you’re still aboard the often imitated (but never duplicated), infamous Money Train. I’ve retired and unretired from betting totals more times than I can recall. We probably wagered on a grand total of 2 over/unders in 2018, but I’m telling you… I feel pretty damn good about this one.

For starters, my apprehension toward the Gators offensively has been well documented this offseason. You’re telling me you’re going to take four new starters on the offensive line and throw Felipe ‘Pool Boy’ Franks behind them? That can’t go smoothly. I don’t care if Dan Mullen is a quarterback whisperer, I’m not buying into the Pool Boy’s preseason hype. I can’t for the life of me figure out this move of foot to view him as an above average quarterback. He’s apt to make poor decisions with the football when he’s under pressure, and people forget the Gator’s offensive line last year was very solid.

On the flip side, Miami’s lack of offensive prowess was downright sad last season. To waste such a stingy defense was borderline criminal. If the offensive could of just been slightly average, that team could have done some damage. Fortunately for them, it can’t get much worse. Especially at the quarterback position. Where the redshirt freshman (Jarren Williams) beat out both Tate Martell and N’Kosi Perry. I’m hearing good things about this kid out of camp, but Florida’s defensive backfield is one of the best in the country. That, plus being behind the Hurricanes’ own questionable offensive line and having Jabari Zuniga breathing down your neck all night, doesn’t foretell a lot of points on the scoreboard in my eyes.

Ultimately, I settled on laying the 7 points with Florida as well. I think the Gator’s superior skill players end up being the difference, and I can see them winning the game somewhere in the range of 23-13.

Personal Plug

This was just an appetizer to get the party started. A pregame brew at the crib before a night out with the boys if you will. Starting next week is the first full slate of action, and I’ll be here with you every step of the way. The first season on the blog we picked less than 0.5 a percentage point below 55%. Last season we went 88-67-4 ATS (56.77%). This season I fully expect to be pushing 60%. If you haven’t already, this is the perfect time to jump aboard A-Rob’s Money Train. I’m out for blood this year.

For those of you that have been faithful followers, I appreciate your support. My audience is the driving force that keeps the wind in my sails. Be sure to share the blog with your friends and family. Let’s really blow this thing up together.
